Easy peeps. Just to confirm Fame's last post...Jazz T, myself & a few Phylum residents are already cookin up Guildford's new hiphop event for 2006. No need to stress cos we will be back with a banger of a line up in late February. Ok my life has turned in it's direction and i no longer have time to run Phylum
Also Stickland, the other co-founder of Phylum is moving to Australia to go to uni in January , the dirty old perv!
And also Howard and Jez the other original founders moved on a long time ago so Phylum is NO MORE!
But Jazz T and Shrubsoul have expressed that they will keep putting on parties under a different name as there are NO original Phylum members left.
Fear not Ash, fear only that now i can enter the open mics as a punter!

Over the past 4 years we have been blessed that our crew has built out of a free party sound system such an incredible jam.
It has been the best 4 years of my life but as with all good things it has to come to an end.
I certainly hope that regulars from past and presnt carry the hip-hop tourch that we shone so brightly up and down this country on road.
Watch out for MRfames EP coming soon(Long time coming).
I wish all those who continue to put on great parties in this town the best and who knows maybe.... just maybe a few people who have come to phylum over the years will go on to run thier own events?
This is out to Strickland, Jazz and Shrub. Peace my brothers.

huuuuuuge shout to everyone, especially our long-time regulars, who made it down on Sunday to see Wordsmith & Genesis Elijah tear up the venue. It made the last Phylum of 2005 a very special night! The vibe was incredible! Big up Ash MC for truly conquering the open mic for 2005! We may be doing a last minute New Years Event...so look out for flyers & posters in the usual spots. Either way we will be back next year, same recipe with a new name...peace Shrub.

The last Phylum of 2005 is on Sunday 27th November at the Star, Guildford. We welcome 2 very special guests on their acclaimed Trading Bars UK Tour. Enter Wordsmith & Genesis Elijah...2 of Londonīs finest new talents, having released material on Sit Tight, SON Records & 3rd Dimension label respectively. Both artists are currently promoting their new LPs so expect a heavy show from 2 future heavywieghts of UK hip-hop! We have to big up Jamie @ Defethics for hooking this up.
